I Wasn’t Expecting to be Pregnant, Now What?
Maybe you just found out you are pregnant. Maybe you’ve known for a while, but you don’t know what to do or who to turn to. You might be thinking, “I don’t want a baby and I’m pregnant.” You probably have a lot of thoughts going through your mind and may be feeling scared or overwhelmed. We understand that this is a hard time in your life right now, but you have options when pregnant and you do not have to make these decisions alone.
You Have Options
You have three options for your pregnancy: parenting, adoption, or abortion. We know that none of these options are easy. You do have the power to make a plan that is best for you and your baby. If you do not have the desire to parent, or do not feel you can parent at this time, you may be wondering if abortion is your only option. There are other Planned Parenthood options and alternatives to abortion.
The Adoption Option
An adoption plan can be a great option for you and your baby. In adoption, you can choose the parents that will raise this baby, if you’d like. Adoption is making a long-term plan for the care of this child. Adoption is completely your choice! Reaching out to learn more about what adoption looks like does not commit you to making an adoption plan. If you have an abortion, you cannot change your mind later on. But with adoption, you can change your mind at any time during your pregnancy.
